Help Us Keep the Lights On at Adventures in Americana!
Adventures in Americana was created by Carol Roth and Jaclyn Nott, two friends who share a love of music and writing. We launched AiA in January 2021 to express this love of music, promote and elevate our favorite Americana artists and venues, and share our exploration of artists new to us. Our team slowly grew as more music lovers reached out to volunteer their time. Today, our media outlet boasts over a dozen contributors across three states (MN, WI & IL).
We promote and support artists and venues through our blog, Instagram and Facebook feeds, a crowdsourced events calendar, a podcast, a video series, our annual concert, ticket giveaways, and a short-form social media interview series.
In 2025, we were accepted into Springboard for the Arts' Incubator program!
What's this mean? Springboard is an amazing MN nonprofit that supports artists and the arts, and Incubator is a fiscal sponsorship program which makes it possible for AiA to receive tax-deductible grants and donations. It's designed for arts groups that have a nonprofit purpose even if they are not a nonprofit. That's us! All our contributors are 100% volunteer and unpaid. We hope this new fiscal sponsorship will help us cover our operating expenses and eventually enable us to compensate our amazing team!
We'll be looking for grants and sponsorships. Individuals can contribute, though, and your donations are tax-deductible! The easiest way is through GiveMN.
Your support — via Springboard for the Arts — will help us pay for the various costs of running Adventures in Americana and compensate us for the time, labor and love we pour into it!
Thank you for believing in us and wanting to be part of our adventures. We appreciate you so much!
