Art Shanty Projects is a joyful expression of public art, and we have a commitment to prioritize public health in our operations. In the spirit of abundant caution and love for our community, we are offering an EXTERIOR-ONLY EXPERIENCE for visitors in 2022. With artist input through a design charrette process last January, this year will feature shanties that can be engaged with from the outside or in the open air (no going inside small spaces / no sharing air this time around), and more performances and art actions than ever before, including a focus on movement activities to keep folks warm. We’re also putting more space between projects so you can keep your distance, and masks are strongly encouraged.

Pit Stop, a fresh, new band from Minneapolis, plays original tunes combining elements of Americana, Blues, Country, Folk, Rock and a dash of Doo-wop. With captivating harmonies, lyrics balancing humor and heartache, a locked ‘n’ loaded rhythm section and guitar solos that rip, Pit Stop guarantees a dynamic and entertaining live performance. Their debut album, "Pit Stop", released November 13th.
