Charlie Parr & Mikkel celebrate 10 year’s of the Acoustic Thursday Happy Hour at The Dubliner

An easily confused and very shy individual, Charlie Parr has been traveling around singing his songs ever since leaving Austin Minnesota in the 1980’s in search of Spider John Koerner, whom he found about 100 miles north at the Viking Bar one Sunday night. The experience changed his life, made him more or less unemployable.

Mikkel Beckmen (washboard, wooden tray, and stomp box) has been a fixture on the Twin Cities scene for a number of years; some of the folks he's played with include Corpse Reviver, Brass Kings, Charlie Parr, and Lonesome Dan Kase & the Crush Collision Trio.
